I had such a great time with Alexa and Trevor during their two day engagement session. We shot both in downtown Dallas and on their ranch in Graham, Tx. Alexa brought a ton of ideas to the shoot from Pinterest and we took it from there. These are the AMAZING results. I can’t wait to shot yalls wedding! Thanks guys!
Ashley & Adam’s wedding ceremony was at the First United Methodist Church of Graham and the reception was held at the Wildcatter Ranch in Graham, TX. I have known Ashley through the wedding world as she assisted my favorite wedding planner & designerJulie Eastman of Extraordinary Events & Design on several weddings I had shot previously. Credit goes to Deitra Butler of Lush Couture Floral for the bouquets, center pieces, and other decorations.
My favorite part of the day was the first look in the courtyard at the First United Methodist Church of Graham. The light was perfect and it was such a great moment as both of their families looked on from the windows in the background. It was a great day, and a great party, congratulations and thanks for having me Ashley & Adam!

Big thanks to Daniel and Sarah for providing me my first ever Austin, TX wedding. It’s amazing that I hadn’t shot a wedding in Austin yet, considering everywhere else I have been to cover weddings in the past.
This was a great start to my Austin wedding career, the wedding was held at The Vineyards at Chappel Lodge south of downtown. The outdoor country location was absolutely incredible. Except for catering and getting ready the entire wedding day was outdoors. We were blessed with a mild Texas fall day and the rest is history.

It was privilege to be asked by my friend, and fellow Mizzou Photojournalism graduate, Kara and her husband Andrew to travel to Rockton, IL to document their wedding this past October. I of course said yes immediately, and was treated to one of the finest events I have ever had the opportunity to photograph.
The ceremony and reception was held at an organic apple orchard called Orchard Ridge Farms in Rockton IL. This post covers the first part of the day, from getting ready, the first look and portraits. It is a great honor to be trusted by anyone to shoot the most important day of their life. But it is an even greater honor when that person is a friend, former classmate, and a photographer himself. Donald was a classmate of mine at the University of Missouri, we often found ourselves photographing the same sports and events on and off campus. We also both started shooting weddings at the same time in College.
He asked me to travel to St. Louis to document his marriage to his beautiful bride Maureen. The wedding ceremony was held at the incredible Little Flower Church in Richmond Heights, MO. This church blew my mind, it is an amazing space. I thought that maybe Donald had discovered this gem while shooting a clients wedding, but it turned out he has worshiped here since he was a kid. We shot portraits at Forest Park and the St. Louis Art Museum, as well as at the campus of Washington University, and finally the reception was held at Moulin Events.
Below are a few of my favorite images, I tried some different post processing techniques on this post and I am pretty happy with how they came out. I almost never convert to Black and White, but I LOVE the results of this technique. Also check out that color on the portraits!

Danielle and Mick were married at the Sheraton Buganvilias Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallerta, Mexico this summer. I have had the honor of shooting at this Sheraton many times over the past three years, and everytime I am there with a new couple I find new amazing places and photos on this property.
I covered the entire weekend for them, from their beach-side rehearsal dinner at the famous La Palapa Resturant on Los Muertos Beach at Sunset, to their ceremony at reception on the beautiful grounds of the Sheraton Buganvilias. Well here it is, the final blog post of three from Dina & Dave’s Destination wedding in Cape Cod. Dina & Dave’s wedding ceremony was held at Christ the King Parish in Mashpee, MA followed by beach portraits and a crazy reception at the New Seabury Country Club where Joey Scott and the Connection performed for 4 great hours. What a thrill it was to relive this great weekend in posting these photos. Thanks again to Dina & Dave and their families for being so great, I had a blast! Looks like an awesome time!
Dina & Dave’s rehearsal dinner was held at the New Seabury Beach Club in Cape Cod. Most of their guest were in from out of town so they invited a huge group to the rehearsal dinner the night before. The father of the groom, Rick made a hilarious toast and handed out his Bride & Groom hats as well as hats for the father and mother of the bride and groom.

I traveled to Cape Cod, MA last month to document Dina & Dave’s Wedding weekend. They invited me to document the entire weekends events starting on Friday with the rehearsal and a dinner with close family, on Sunday, golf with the guys and the bridal shower as well as a huge rehearsal dinner with all of their out of town guest. And of course Sunday the wedding day. This is the first of a few post covering my favorite pictures from this great weekend. Thanks to Dina & Dave for making me feel like part of the family the whole weekend.
The guys headed out to play golf at the New Seabury Country Club on Cape Cod. I got to return to my sports photography roots for a few hours as I followed the guys around. In the afternoon I headed to Dina’s sister in laws house to grab a few shots at the Bridal Shower. Her soon to be nieces were super helpful opening the presents.

Introducing my new best friend, Ava. She is the niece of one of my long time friends from high school. I have been close with her family for years and I was honored to be invited out to Fourth of July celebrations with their family and a quick (very hot) afternoon portrait session with Ava the next week. As the weather cools down look for more from Ava, she is blast to photograph!

HEY LOOK ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS! Ok, the enthusiasm is due to the fact that I haven’t posted any in a long time. I wanted to post a few of Patience & Daniel’s Engagement photos. This is just a small cut of the 300 images I delivered but they were my favorites cause they were different, allowed for fun toning, and got me out of the box I sometimes find myself stuck shooting in. My clients Ivert & David threw a massive 25th wedding anniversary vow renewal and reception. With grown children, close friends and family in attendance it was one of the most unique celebrations I have ever had the privilege to document.
After a traditional church service and renewal of vows at the First Presbyterian Church of Plano we headed to Eldorado Country Club in McKinney, TX. During the reception there were many performances and traditional african dances. Ivert even got involved and had three different outfits changes during the entire event. It was an awesome day to document. Thanks for including me Ivert & David!

While I was in Cape Cod last month shooting Matt’s Brothers wedding, we snuck in a quick 90 second photo session with Matt, his beautiful wife Liz and their 3 incredibly cute girls on the beach during the rehearsal dinner at the New Seabury Boat House.
As I sit here now I am picking this apart and wishing we had more time to shoot, it is far from perfect, eyes, hands, hair, (hand placement Abbey!!), but I love it and wanted to share these photos. Stay tuned for a preview of Matt’s brothers wedding photos!

This amazing wedding was held at the Maple Manor in Dallas, TX. But what makes it super special is that the reception was held at the Old Warsaw Restaurant next door. This is a location that usually does not host weddings as it is best known as one of the best restaurants in Dallas. Thank you Heather & Michael for including me on your beautiful wedding day!
